What is Bluebeam Certified, and what are the differences between the certifications?

Bluebeam Certified is a certification program offered by Bluebeam for professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge in the use of Bluebeam software. By becoming a Bluebeam Certified Professional, you can validate your technical proficiency and establish your credibility as a Bluebeam Revu expert. If you’re interested in becoming a Bluebeam Certified Instructor, you can demonstrate your ability to effectively teach and train others on using Revu. Both certifications offer unique benefits and opportunities for career advancement.

How does the credential benefit me and my organization?

The Bluebeam Certified Professional (BCP) credential offers several benefits for both you and your organization. As a BCP, you possess essential Revu features knowledge and technical skills to efficiently navigate and use the software, which helps to validate and align skills across teams, build customer trust, and increase marketability and competitiveness in the workforce. Moreover, it can boost your earning potential and establish your professional credibility.

In addition to BCP, our Bluebeam Certified Instructor (BCI) program offers additional benefits for those who are interested in teaching and training others. As a BCI, you’ll gain expertise in the delivery of Bluebeam training courses and be able to offer official Bluebeam training to your organization or clients. This can result in cost savings for your organization, as well as increased efficiency and productivity due to employees having the necessary skills to use the software.

Additionally, as a BCI, you’ll have access to exclusive resources and support from Bluebeam to further enhance your skills and teaching capabilities not just in teaching Revu, but in teaching software in general. The skills learned can be applied to other software platforms, which can lead to increased opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.

How much does the exam cost and how do I purchase and sign up?

The Bluebeam Certified Professional exam costs $150 per certification. To purchase and sign up, visit the exam page here, click the Purchase button, and follow the prompts. You will have three (3) months from the time of purchase to complete and pass the exam.

Are courses required before the Bluebeam Certified Professional exam?

No, although we recommend completing Revu Essentials as it covers all topics tested in the exam. Register for Revu Essentials or browse our other courses on Bluebeam University. Contact us if you need help accessing BBU.

Can I take the exam in a language besides English?

Currently, the exam is only available in US English.

Do I have to take the exam in one sitting with a time limit?

Yes, the BCP exam must be completed in one sitting within 90 minutes. Leaving before completion or running out of time before submitting will result in automatic incorrect scores for all unanswered questions.

What is the exam retake policy?

You can retake the BCP exam as many times as you wish within the 3-month period from the day of purchase. However, if you fail the first time, we recommend that you review the exam's core topics by taking our Revu Essentials course.

Is retaking the exam required after Revu updates?

No, your Bluebeam Certified Professional certification is valid for 3 years, unaffected by updates during that time.

Can the exam be taken with a partner or group?

No, the BCP exam must be taken individually to assess the test taker's knowledge of Revu.

When will I receive my exam results?

Your BCP exam results will appear immediately after submission. The page will refresh to show whether you have passed, along with a topic-by-topic score breakdown.

What is the passing score?

A score of 80% or higher is considered passing and earns you a badge.

How is the score determined?

There are 38 questions on the BCP exam, with each question worth one point. For questions with multiple answers, you must select all correct answers to receive the point. There’s no partial credit for any question.

Can I see what I missed on the exam?

The BCP exam results will not provide a question-by-question report of correct and incorrect answers. However, by reviewing the topic scores, you can identify general areas to study. To improve your knowledge in those areas, we recommend taking our Revu Essentials course.

What does the certification badge do?

Earning a Bluebeam Certified Professional badge offers several benefits, including increased competitiveness and marketability in the workforce, boosted earning potential, networking opportunities, validation of your Revu knowledge, and establishment of professional credibility.

I took the exam and passed, now what?

After passing the BCP exam, you’ll receive an email from Credly with instructions to redeem your Bluebeam Certified Professional badge. If you have trouble receiving your email, please contact us.
